Steve Martin is a well-known comedian who's been in many shows and movies throughout the years, but everyone has their favorite, of course. While I love the comedy special with him and Martin Short on Netflix, <em>An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life</em>, my favorite media is another Steve Martin and Martin Short classic, <em>Father of the Bride</em>. Specifically, <em>Father of the Bride Part II. </em>I can't count how many times I've watched this movie, with Steve Martin playing the loving yet low-nonsense George Banks as he navigates a minefield in his family. Both his wife and his daughter are pregnant, which drives him to the absolute edge of sanity several times. Martin Short's character, Franck, s while teasing George by helping design the baby suite and throw showers for the ladies. George is a familiar character to me, mirroring some of the behaviors of my own father, which is what makes him so charming and funny, with several jokes being at his own expense!
