A lot of movies can have a strong lead actor, but it's rare to see a movie where every single person is just exceptional at their role. One such movie for me is Jordan Peele's Us. Not only did the actors do a wonderful job portraying a real family, but they also had to act again as the Tethered, or "darker" versions of themselves. Lupita Nyong'o was absolutely amazing and showed a diverse range as a normal mother contrasted with a disturbed, vicious doppelgänger. The son, played by Evan Alex, was also incredibly incredible as his Tethered version was a feral wild child who mostly ran around on all fours with animalistic tendencies. These roles were all exceptionally difficult to pull off, yet every actor managed to nail it perfectly, which kept viewers fully in the moment.
