While many movie sequels fail to live up to the promise of their preceding movies, there are some that even go so far as to ruin their predecessors' endings, whether by completely changing a cliffhanger, or changing paths from where the previous movie ended. For me, I feel like it's a tie between <em>Alien 3 </em>and <em>Kingsman: The Golden Circle</em>, as David Fincher's infamous threequel made the absolute wrong choice by killing off Newt and Hicks, while the latter action sequel killing off Roxy in its first 10 minutes, thus upending her promotion to Lancelot from the previous film, were really disappointing creative choices.
