Nearly a decade after its release, I'd still have to pick <em>The Witcher 3</em> as the greatest open-world RPG game ever. As a big fantasy fan, I think it's between that and <em>Skyrim</em>, and I generally prefer the aesthetic of <em>The Witcher</em> universe. I also thoroughly enjoyed Baldur's Gate 3, but I'm partial to the RPGs with third-person gameplay. <em>Elden Ring</em> is another solid choice, but I'm unfortunately not mentally strong enough to beat it.
