Transformers: Cyberworld is an original series from Hasbro that throws fan-favorite characters into a brand new universe, and ScreenRant has a first look at the teaser. The CG-animated show will consist of 36 five-minute episodes in which Hasbro promises that “alliances shift, challenges evolve, and Energon is the key to survival.” The series is meant to be a high-energy adventure through a video-game inspired universe, featuring classic Transformers characters.

ScreenRant is happy to debut the teaser for Transformers: Cyberworld, which introduces audiences to a new take on a cast of characters which includes Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Elita-1, Megatron, Grimlock, and more. It’s a new step into animation for a franchise that recently had success with Transformers One (check out ScreenRant’s review), albeit for a younger audience. Transformers: Cyberworld will debut on the Transformers YouTube channel on July 12.

How Transformers: Cyberworld Fits With Hasbro’s New Toy Line

The Transformers: Cyberworld series release coincides with the release of new toys that reimagine the franchise’s best-known characters. In addition to a new version of Optimus Prime, the new toy lineup will include Starscream, Bumblebee, Chop Shop, and Megatron. Identical to their animated counterparts, the new toys are designed to allow owners to play along with the events on screen.

To best match the adventure and action of the series, the Transformers: Cyberworld toys are made for quick conversion and fast play, and are cross-compatible despite the range of sizes available. The line’s smaller toys, Cyber Changers and Armored Cyber Changers, represent the bulk of the line, but there are characters like iconic Transformers villain Scorponok, who will receive a large figure that doubles as a playset. It's a perfect companion to the teaser, above, which shows a massive Scorponok that looks just like the Scorponok Strike Battle Set.

The Transformers: Cyberworld toys are made to fuel imaginations, and with the twists and turns promised in the animated series, it looks as though there will be plenty of inspiration. Transformers traitors are a running theme throughout the franchise, and the series’ promise of shifting alliances means that any grouping of Autobot and Deceptacon toys may not be too far off from the show’s canon. With short episode lengths that match the generally smaller size of Hasbro’s latest Transformers toys, Transformers: Cyberworld is set to offer plenty of fun in a small package.

Transformers: Cyberworld will be released to the Transformers YouTube channel on July 12.
