Vanderpump Rules season 11, has been one of the hot topics in its initial episodes. While Raquel chose to leave the show despite being offered a spot in the cast, she’s been open about its portrayal of her. Raquel’s been disappointed in the way Tom, Ariana Madix, and others have spoken about her.
On her podcast, Vanderpump Rules season 11, episode 3. She was unhappy about the fact that Tom shared, “I was on the phone with Rachel and literally debating on ****ing killing ourselves.” Raquel opened up about Tom’s statement, explaining, “It is not okay for somebody else to tell other people that they have expressed feelings of not wanting to live anymore...The way that he said it too, made it seem like we had a suicide pact...That really angered me...that really crossed a boundary.”
"I went in really deep processing with my therapist because it's like, 'Whoa, why are you talking about this personal information?'"
Raquel Leviss its She Ghosted Tom Sandoval
Raquel explained that it was "not okay to be discussing that person, emotional, turmoil state of mind with the rest of the world."
Raquel, who was angry about Tom having brought up a similar issue on another podcast in the past, explained that it was “not okay to be discussing that personal, emotional, turmoil state of mind with the rest of the world.” Making Raquel’s troubled mental health and potential ideation a part of the public conversation without her permission wasn’t right on Tom’s behalf, and is part of the reason why she ghosted Tom. Raquel shared, “If I tried to explain the reasons why I'm breaking up with him, he would figure out a way to get back into my good graces.”
While Raquel played a major role in Scandoval, she’s since shared that she takes ability and hopes to apologize to those involved again with more mental clarity. Despite knowing that Tom was in a nearly decade-long relationship with Ariana, Raquel chose to engage in an affair with him and has taken responsibility for her actions. Hearing her name dragged during Vanderpump Rules season 11 hasn’t been easy, but she’s been sharing all of her feelings surrounding the events as they happened and the series as a whole on her podcast recently, which seems therapeutic for the former reality star.
With Tom doing everything he can to keep himself relevant both in Vanderpump Rules season 11 and in the media, it’s been clear that he’s been using Raquel’s name as a way to make waves. Bringing her into conversations about mental health and revealing difficult, sometimes troubling details about her without her permission is wrong, and something Tom shouldn’t be doing. While Raquel can only speak her piece from her podcast, the former Vanderpump Rules star isn’t mincing her words about her feelings for her scandalous ex.
Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.
