Viewers hoping for more second half of The Walking Dead season 10 on Sunday, February 23.

The Walking Dead first premiered in on Halloween night in 2010 with a shortened season that lasted just six episodes. The series was based on the popular comic book series developed by Robert Kirkman, who still serves as an executive producer on the series. A decade later, many of the original characters, including lead Rick Grimes, are no longer on the show, but the struggles within the Fear the Walking Dead, featuring a new cast. Although it has crossed over with familiar faces, Fear the Walking Dead has found its own identity.

AMC is no stranger to having two Walking Dead titles on their primetime schedule, but for the first time, there will be three. This spring, the third franchise series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, will drop on the network. The network has promoted "40 Sundays of original zombie world premieres" in an interview (via Variety), but that also means there will also be 42 hours of Walking Dead content. There will actually be closer to 50 considering AMC's tendency to give Walking Dead supersized premieres and finales. Here's what fans can expect in 2020.

As previously mentioned, AMC's 40-week schedule will begin with the back half of The Walking Dead season 10. With eight episodes left in the season, this brings the season finale date to April 12. Following the finale, AMC will premiere World Beyond that same night. The first season is comprised of 10 episodes and will run uninterrupted through Sunday, June 14. The third Walking Dead series will only consist of two seasons and the second installment will most likely air in 2021.

Considering Fear the Walking Dead is still filming, it'll likely debut right after World Beyond ends, presumably in mid-June. The season will have 16 episodes and there will probably be a short break in the middle of the summer as was the case with past seasons. The second half of The Walking Dead season 11. The original Walking Dead series has held an October premiere date for over a decade and there's no reason to believe the network will change that. By the time AMC gets toward the end of its zombie-heavy schedule, there will hopefully have more details regarding the Rick Grimes movie in development as fans are eager for Andrew Lincoln to reprise his role.
