April 14th’s Wordle answer was a bit tricky to guess, even if players use their staple starting words. While attempting today’s Wordle puzzle, it was clear that using the usual starter words would not suffice as today’s answer was a bit obscure. However, players who struggle and don’t want to sacrifice their Wordle streak have a better chance of guessing today’s Wordle answer using relevant hints.
If Wordle players want to guess today’s Wordle answer without using hints or enjoy a challenge, they can use Wordle’s Hard Mode to keep things interesting. However, players who just want to guess in less than six tries can use the below hints to get more information about the solution. These hints do not spoil the answer for Wordle players, but they do point them in the right direction.
Today's Wordle Hints (April 14th #299)
Sometimes players tend to guess the correct position of a few letters in Wordle but tend to get stuck if they don’t have any additional information. This is where contextual hints come in handy, as they might help players guess April 13th’s Wordle answer:
- Hint 1: Finely chopped meat
- Hint 2: Cut into tiny pieces
- Hint 3: “I don’t like to ____ my words.” (Fill in the blanks)
Once players are done guessing today’s Wordle answer, they can share their progress on social media without giving away the answer. Players can share their progress by clicking on the “Share” button, which will copy a set of color-coded emojis and the number of attempts to the clipboard. Players can then paste these emojis into a post on Twitter or Facebook, letting other Wordle players know how close they were to guessing today’s answer.

The April 13th Wordle answer is MINCE.
Mincing usually refers to meat that has been cut up into very small pieces, often using a special machine. It is also used to describe when people walk with small, delicate steps in a way that does not look natural.
When trying to guess today’s Wordle answer, we first used the word ‘ROAST,’ which did not reveal any letters being used in today’s Wordle answer. For our next attempt, we used the word ‘SCORE,’ which showed the correct position of one letter and an incorrect position of another. For our third attempt, we used the word ‘PINCH,’ revealing the correct position of three letters. Once we knew the four letters that were being used in today’s Wordle answer, we could guess the word MINCE in our fourth attempt.
