Another new Wordle's ambiguous little emoji boxes littered all over the timeline.
Despite the lack of social media engagement, Wordle is still going strong late into the year. It has easily become a staple in many players' morning routines, sitting in the bookmarks bar right next to the daily emails. There have also been an enormous amount of copycats trying to get into the action as well. Heardle which uses 1-second snippets of songs and challenges players to guess the title in a Name That Tune sort of way.
Today's Wordle Hints (August 21st #428)
For those players who just need a little push in the right direction, we have provided a few hints to help out, followed by today's fully spoiled Wordle answer.

Today's Wordle Hints (August 21st #428)
The August 21st Wordle answer is WASTE.
For today's starting Wordle word, we used IRATE. This word continues to help start each day successfully and today it provided two correct letters 'T' and 'E', and once incorrectly placed letter 'A'. For our second attempt, we went with ACUTE, this moved the 'A' into a different incorrect spot which told us that the second position is the right spot for 'A'. Our third guess led to the guessing storm of similar suffixes, we tried HASTE. This provided the correct position for 'ASTE' and left us with multiple choices to go with.
Our fourth guess was PASTE, which was incorrect, but helped narrow down the correct answer even more. Finally, we nailed the correct answer with WASTE and got a solid Wordle win-in-five. This was a fairly lucky guess, there were at least two more words that could have fit the criteria here, they are much more uncommon than what we went with, but they could have definitely cost us a win.
