Between Ted's romantic endeavors, Barney's one-night-stands, and a bevy of other cameos, the How I Met Your Mother cast list is impressively long. The tale of Ted's quest to find his wife is mixed in with his friend's shenanigans, creating a show that never gets old. The series ended in 2014, with giving the main ensemble a great experience to add to their resume.

How I Met Your Mother appeals to a wide audience demographic, which is why the show is so binge-worthy. Son and Daughter: David Henrie and Lyndsy Fonseca

David Henrie and Lyndsy Fonseca show up as Ted's son and daughter throughout the entirety of the season. The two film their scenes way before the show's finale, meaning they knew about the horrible plot twist for nine years. Somehow, they manage to move on from this, and the two actors have been busy since those early days of How I Met Your Mother.

David Henrie is best known for his Disney channel stint as Justin Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place. The filming between this show and HIMYM actually intersect; Henrie filmed the Disney channel crossovers shows and movies after his time on HIMYM and has made multiple appearances on other TV shows and movies like Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2

Lyndsy Fonseca is best known for her role as the daughter, but she has continued acting since her 2005 role. She can be seen in her reoccurring roles on both RePlay and Agent Carter. 

Victoria: Ashley Williams

Victoria and Ted dance together in How I Met Your Mother

Ted had many love interests, but few are as prominent as his time with Victoria. After their breakup, Victoria appears again as Ted's girlfriend and many fans became convinced that she would end up being the mother.

Victoria is played by actress, Ashley Williams. Williams continues to make cameo appearances on many tv series and has been seen in a variety of TV movies. Her most recent gigs are in the 2018 TV movie, Northern Lights of Christmas, and her role as Alexis Moran in the TV show FBI.

Quinn: Becki Newton

Barney and Quinn in How I Met Your Mother

Barney has a collection of women on his docket, but Quinn is a special occurrence. She's the first person besides Robin that Barney loves enough to commit to, and she's the first woman he proposes to. Unfortunately, the two don't work out, but Quinn will always be ed as one of Barney's greatest conquests.

Becki Newton played Quinn in two seasons of HIMYM. Since then, she juggled a few spots on tv shows such as Weird Loners, American Dad!, and the Goodwin Games. Newton most recently appears in Tell Me A Story as Katrina Thorn and Divorce as Jackie. 

Ranjit: Marshall Manesh

Ranjit is the affable cab driver who somehow puts up with all the gang's strange adventures. In the beginning, he is simply a character put in place to get the main cast from Point A to Point B—literally. However, he becomes a common character in the show and acts as comic relief in many scenes.

Marshall Manesh actually did not get his start on How I Met Your Mother, as he has been acting since the late 1980s. Before this show, he made appearances on shows like Madam Secretary.

Lily: Alyson Hannigan

Alyson Hannigan is known for her part onRobot Chicken over the course of a few years and appears as a mainstay on shows like Fancy Nancy and Pure. She even recently acts as Dr. Ann Possible in the Kim Possible TV movie.

Marshall: Jason Segel

Marshall Erikson is the quirky, intelligent lawyer who usually acts as the voice of reason. He is sentimental and emotional, which is seemingly very different from his two best friends.

Jason Segel plays the part of Marshall expertly, making it hard for anyone to dislike his character. Segel appears in many TV shows and movies, so his gig on HIMYM only marks one of his many leading roles. Since the show ended, he has been in the film, Come Sunday, and will be starring in the 2020 TV series Dispatches from Elsewhere.

Barney: Neil Patrick Harris

Much like his character, Neil Patrick Harris is a legend. In no way did his act as the playboy narcissist hinder his future acting gigs. Harris has been an established actor since his teenage days, and thankfully, his still continues to make appearances on our screens. Harris characters always tend to be loveable, despite their inner demons. He appears in movies like A Series of Unfortunate Events since his days as the legend. Wait for it...

Robin: Cobie Smulders

Robin Scherbatsky's character has always been a source of debate in the cast lineup of How I Met Your Mother. Despite this, Cobie Smulders has flourished as in actress and fans are excited to see more from her. Audiences most likely recognize her from her recurring role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where she plays Maria Hill. Smulders credits can also link to Spider-Man: Far From Home next month.

The Mother: Cristin Milioti

Viewers of How I Met Your Mother waited nearly a decade to find out who Ted ends up marrying. In season eight, the introduces Tracey McConnell as the mysterious mother. Cristin Milioti takes the role with grace, despite her characters perplexing outcome. She only appeared in a handful of episodes in this historical television series, but Milioti appears to be one of the most successful of the bunch. Since 2014, she has been in reoccurring roles in shows such as A To Z, Fargo, The Mindy Project, Adventure Bros, and No Activity. Her most recent credit is for Modern Love, which she is currently filming.

Ted: Josh Radnor

And the man of the hour, Ted Mosby. Ted is surprisingly someone that audiences hate to love and love to hate. Although the entire show highlights his journey to find the love of his life, in hindsight, fans have found Ted's morals to be somewhat questionable throughout the show. Still, Ted's character is what makes How I Met Your Mother the show that it is. No man can play the part better than Josh Radnor. Radnor is best known for his role as Ted, but he has gone on to portray characters in Mercy Street, Rise, and is currently filming the show The Hunt.
