Their issues intensified while filming Teen Mom Family Reunion season 2, after the duo, alongside Briana's mother, Roxanne "Roxy" and Ashley's mother, Pastor Tea, came to physical blows during a heated argument. The women were sent home by MTV due to their violent actions, but Ashley and Briana continued fighting online. Sharing that Pastor Tea "tried to step to" Roxy over an issue addressed while filming, Briana accused Ashley of spitting on her on Instagram, in images shared by u/Peach_enby on Reddit.

The explosive fight was shown when the season finally aired, starting in January 2022. A two-part special episode followed up on the events of the season, during which the cast discussed Ashley and Briana's blow-up and attempted to mend fences. However, Briana refused to take responsibility for her part in the conflict, stating that her only regret was not making the fight even more physical than it already had been. Briana also stated that the clip shown didn't accurately portray the argument, alleging that Ashley brought violent energy. Ashley also maintained her innocence, and it's unclear how involved the two will be in the Teen Mom franchise moving forward.
