Geralt of Rivia has many weapons and spells to dispatch his enemies with in The Witcher 3 sold 30 million copies as of 2020. The beloved RPG follows superhuman monster-slayer Geralt as he travels the world in search of his adoptive daughter Ciri and fends off the ancient evil known as the Wild Hunt.
Aside from Geralt’s main quest, there are plenty of interesting side quests and activities to do in The Witcher 3, with fans creating plenty of their own fun with mods and challenge runs. These include having Geralt take on the master swordsman Olgierd von Everec, one of the more difficult fights in The Witcher 3, in nothing but a bath towel, exploring the world in a first-person view, and even reskinning Geralt as Marvel comics superhero and fellow monster-slayer Blade. Even without altering anything, Geralt has a wide variety of magic, weaponry, and stylish slow-motion kill animations to ensure that players are always finding something new in their quest to take down the Wild Hunt in The Witcher 3.
Earlier this week, Reddit RussianNixon shared an unusual gameplay clip of The Witcher 3, one that featured Geralt in a typical sword fight against a group of bandits. The battle comes to a wild and abrupt end when the White Wolf decapitates one of the enemies with a stylish swing of his steel blade - only for his severed head to strike his last remaining comrade and knock him out dead as well. Other players in the comments section have since been debating if it was the head itself that killed the final enemy or if Geralt’s sword swing struck both enemies at once (both are possible from watching the footage), but either way, RussianNixon has pulled off an impressive double kill for the record books.
The Witcher 3’s many hidden secrets and replay value are a boon to fans who are anxious to play through more of Geralt’s monster-hunting adventures, as CD Projekt Red has indicated that it will be a long time before Cyberpunk 2077 during its infamous launch last November. Rumors state that CDPR has been recruiting fan modders for work on this current-gen update, and the developer has confirmed that The Witcher 3 will gain additional DLC based on the hit live-action Netflix series starring Henry Cavill.
Geralt of Rivia is one of the most dangerous combatants in the world of The Witcher 3, and RussianNixon’s recent double kill is further proof that the White Wolf is not someone to be trifled with. After all, anything can be a weapon in the hands of a Witcher, even the severed head of an enemy they just cut down mere seconds ago.
