As anti-mutant conflict builds in the big city, Wolverine’s vigilante status makes her a fierce protector for her people, but NYX #2's preview shows her mission isn’t successful just yet.

As people prey on mutants in New York, Laura Kinney acts as a lone wolf to viciously fight for her people, but she may need to up with some of her fellow heroes to really help her mission. Since it’s been said that NYX will reject superhero clichés in favor of building a more community-focused series for Marvel’s X-Men characters, it’s likely that the standard type of superhero team won’t be formed. Instead, Wolverine’s vigilante mission could either change focus, or simply be renewed with the emotional of the mutant heroes that are also featured in the series.
