10 Wolverine (Logan)
Earth-616
The first Wolverine was Logan, also known as James Howlett. Logan has a wide range of abilities, such as an absurd healing factor and his iconic adamantium claws. Logan is also a formally trained samurai, making him an expert with just about all forms of blades. Due to his long life, Logan is one of the greatest fighters in the Marvel Universe, and his expertise in fighting has allowed him to train most of the X-Men. In fact, he even taught Black Widow.

Spider-Man & Wolverine Get Their Darkest Fight Yet in Gritty Cosplay
Photographer wens.1998 and cosplayer supermazing_23 collab to make an epic and heart-pounding photoshoot of a symbiotic Spider-Man vs Wolverine.
While Logan is undeniably powerful and one of the most dangerous mutants on Earth when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, he's the base point of what Wolverine should be. As other characters have come in and taken on the mantle, they've all brought something new that gives them just a slight lead over Logan in of ability, even if Logan's experience might ultimately trump them.
9 Laura Kinney
Earth-616
The daughter of Wolverine, Laura Kinney was one of the first people to take on the mantle besides Logan. Her origin mirrors much of Logan's, as Laura was born in the labs of an organization called Facility, the result of an attempt to clone Logan. Due to damaged DNA, every male clone the Facility attempted to make ended up a failure. With no other choice, they attempted to create a female clone, and ultimately succeeded on their 23rd attempt. This would create Laura, who had all the powers of Logan and was trained to be even more brutally efficient.
With no other choice, they attempted to create a female clone, and ultimately succeeded on their 23rd attempt.
After escaping the Facility, Laura sought to track down and kill every single thing the Facility had created, as well as Logan. Thankfully, Logan was able to convince her that she was ultimately a victim, and that she deserved help. Laura has much the same abilities as Logan, but the training she went through makes her a far more effective assassin.
8 Akihiro
Earth-616
The first son of Wolverine, Akihiro takes after his father and has just a little bit extra. Akihiro aka Daken has the exact same powers of his father, including the iconic claws and healing factor, but he also has one unique ability that makes him especially dangerous. Akihiro has total control over the pheromones of his body. This allows him to manipulate the emotional state of others, making them feel safe around him or intensely terrified of him.
Akihiro aka Daken has the exact same powers of his father, including the iconic claws and healing factor, but he also has one unique ability that makes him especially dangerous.
He's also capable of using this pheromone control to completely mask his scent to such a degree that even Logan cannot track him. Akihiro has famously used this ability to seemingly "disappear" and attack enemies before they realize he's there. But by far the most powerful ability of Akihiro is his Hellverine transformation, which grants him powers similar to those of Ghost Rider.
7 James Hudson Jr.
Earth-1610
James Hudson was the son of the Ultimate Universe version of Logan, and eventually took on his father's mantle of Wolverine. But the journey to becoming Wolverine was a long and difficult process. James Hudson was adopted by another man and was completely unaware of his origin as Logan's son for quite a while. After Wolverine died during the controversial Ultimatum storyline, James' powers began manifesting. All of this would culminate in James eventually ing the X-Men.

Whatever Happened To Wolverine's Son, James Hudson?
Introduced as Wolverine's son, Jimmy Hudson fought alongside the Ultimate X-Men and eventually ed the mainstream X-Men. But where is he now?
Like his father, James has regenerative abilities and bone claws, but unlike his father, James secretes a metallic substance that's very similar adamantium. James uses this to cover not only his skeleton, but also his claws and even his teeth, making him surprisingly durable and much more versatile than his father.
6 Jubilation Lee
Earth-13729
Wolverine and Jubilee have had a long relationship, with Logan acting as her surrogate father/mentor and she being his surrogate daughter/sidekick. Jubilee is one of the first characters who managed to really get close to Logan. With how close the two are, it's no surprise that in one future, Jubilee ultimately ends up taking on the mantle of Wolverine for herself. After all, Logan was one of her greatest and favorite mentors.
Not only does Jubilee have all the teachings of Logan, but she also wields her own mutant powers, which are incredibly powerful.
This alternate future version of Jubilee is first seen in 2013's Wolverine & the X-Men #36 by Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness. It makes sense that Jubilee would want to carry on Wolverine's legacy. Not only does Jubilee have all the teachings of Logan, but she also wields her own mutant powers, which are incredibly powerful, such as being able to detonate subatomic blasts. In addition to this, she's also got a pair of energy claws. All of this together makes Jubilee as good an heir to the Wolverine mantle as anyone else.
5 Wolverine (Days Of Future Past)
Earth-811
First seen in the classic Days of Future Past story by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, Earth-811 is a dark future where humanity nearly succeeds in exterminating all mutants. The few mutants who are left alive have to do everything they can to survive and avoid drawing the attention of the ever-present Sentinels that patrol the world. This version of Wolverine is one of the last remaining mutants in the world, which means his survival skills are at their absolute peak. While everyone else is captured or killed, Logan manages to live on, but eventually, even his luck runs out.

X-Men Return to Days of Future Past In New Prequel Comic
A new limited series, X-Men: Days of Future Past - Doomsday, will be a prequel to the classic tale, filling in important gaps and expanding its lore.
What makes the Days of Future Past Wolverine so memorable is that this story marks one of the very first times readers ever see Wolverine die. While this version of Wolverine ultimately loses his life, the fact that he outlives nearly every other member of the X-Men, shows that this Logan really is the best there is at what he does.
4 Old Man Logan
Earth-807128
One of the darkest futures that Marvel has ever explored is definitely the world of Old Man Logan. In this world, first glimpsed in 2008's Wolverine #66 by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven, the villains of the Marvel Universe all team up with one another and ultimately kill nearly every hero on Earth. The X-Men and Avengers are slaughtered and the few remaining heroes, such as Logan, go into hiding and simply try to live off the grid.
This version of Wolverine is far more grizzled and older and has practically perfected the art of surviving. In a world where heroes are killed on sight and villains rule, Wolverine needs to use every skill he has to survive. While his healing factor has definitely diminished with his old age, his actual fighting skills seem to be better than ever. What's more, he has vowed to never pop his claws ever again, after Mysterio tricked him into killing his fellow X-Men. Even still, Old Man Logan is capable of regularly taking down powerful enemies, such as the berserk evil version of the Hulk in his world.
3 Tomi Shishido
Earth-616
Tomi is a pretty tragic character, someone who had a troubled childhood that was made only more complicated by the fact he is a mutant. Anyone Tomi looked at would be turned to stone instantly, which earned him the name Gorgon. For a while, Tomi learned to live while blindfolded in order to avoid accidentally using his powers. Eventually, Tomi ed the Hand, which brought him into direct conflict with Wolverine. Unfortunately, Tomi manages to successfully capture and brainwash Wolverine, transforming him into one of the Hand's deadliest assassins for a time.
During the events of Dark Avengers, when Norman Osborn assembles his own twisted version of the Avengers, as part of his deal with the Hand, Tomi s the team as their version of Wolverine. With Tomi's incredible fighting powers and his ability to turn anyone he looks at into stone, Tomi is one of the most powerful versions of Wolverine to ever exist.
2 Cable
Earth-2107
There's nothing fans and writers love more than taking two popular characters and fusing them together. This led to a major moment in the Ultimate Universe after the debut of Ultimate Cable in Ultimate X-Men #75 by Robert Kirkman and Ben Oliver. At first, the reader is safe in assuming that this traveler from the future is Nathan Summers, just like in the main Marvel continuity. It's only when he pops his claws at the end of the issue does it become clear that this version of Cable is actually Logan.
This Wolverine has lost his healing factor, but he claims that his healing factor was actually only holding him back. Without it, he had to truly learn how to fight and take care of himself. He also kept his iconic adamantium claws, which are only further enhanced by the addition of Cables' typical weaponry, including high-tech guns and other gadgets, such as a teleporter.
1 Weapon Omega
Earth-295
This version of Wolverine is first seen in the classic Age of Apocalypse storyline, which depicts an alternate universe where Professor Charles Xavier was killed before forming the X-Men. In this world, the planet is taken over by the ancient mutant Apocalypse. Logan originally fights against Apocalypse as a member of the X-Men, doing everything he can to save the world from the genocidal mutant. Unfortunately, Logan eventually becomes the heir of Apocalypse and takes up the mad mutant's cause.
After Logan makes with the Celestials, he becomes the physically and mentally enhanced being known as Weapon Omega. He then decides that humanity has to be purged, and he now has the power to do it. It's not stated exactly what Weapon Omega's powers are, but considering he is enhanced by the Celestials, it's safe to assume that his power is on the same level as Apocalypse from Earth-616, which makes him one of the strongest versions of Wolverine in the multiverse.
