While for a time it seemed that her story would be left after Logan, her subsequent appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine helped to show that there were more potential stories ahead for the character. In her interview, however, Keen did not seem entirely keen on the idea of replacing Wolverine. "If we're both there, I'd be really happy," she said, outlining that her wish for the future would be to have the two share stories together.

There have been recent rumors that Wolverine will not be recast in the MCU, but that Hugh Jackman will continue in the franchise. With this in mind, and with Keen rumored to potentially appear in future Avengers films, there are many opportunities ahead. "I'd also be very, very open to a big, whole action fight team-up with the Avengers," Keen revealed, which aligns with many audience expectations for the future films. Seeing Laura in the new film would make sense, and could allow her to fight alongside Wolverine once again.

Allowing him to appear alongside Dafne Keen's X-23 was some of the most special material in that movie, and could be expanded upon. Seeing them fight alongside one another in a future project is too promising a prospect to ignore.

Seeing Laura and Logan team up could be some of the best ways to reintegrate the X-Men into the MCU. While multiversal stories may be coming to an end by the end of the Multiverse Saga, there is still the opportunity to insert both of these characters in whatever universe winds up being the MCU setting. Allowing the two to pursue a familial relationship could make for unique drama that would only make the incredible action feel that much more vital.

Dafne Keen is a rising star in Hollywood, and it appears that she still has great affection for Marvel. Following appearances in His Dark Materials and The Acolyte, it seems that Laura arguably remains her most popular role. With this in mind, Keen seems more than willing to return to it, and there are far too many perfect story opportunities for her to do so. It feels inevitable that she will recur in the universe, and potentially even take on a much larger role.

Despite Hugh Jackman making comments about being done with the role, there is so much pressure on the actor to come back as Wolverine. His performance has been so celebrated and integral to the superhero movie genre, that imagining the landscape without him feels impossible. Seeing him and Dafne Keen in stories about family, as X-23's character is allowed to grow and become more integral to the universe, would be the perfect way to do this.

After her appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, Dafne Keen has just made me even more hopeful for a continued role in the Marvel multiverse.

Dafne Keen is an excellent young star, and I hope to see more of her in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It would be wonderful to see her appear alongside Hugh Jackman once again, but I am also open to the idea of featuring her as a Wolverine replacement for the new team. Whatever happens, the Marvel Cinematic Universe would certainly be better for her inclusion, and I can't wait to see however they decide to make this happen.
