DC vs. Vampires is a limited series that explores an alternate reality where the world turns into vampires. The vampires’ stealth invasion overwhelmed Earth’s heroes and divided the Justice League. Many fan-favorite heroes have ed the Vampire King’s army as vampires or died trying to stop them. Now that the Vampire King has revealed himself as Nightwing, hope is running out as the survivors scramble to defeat them.
DC vs. Vampires: All Out War #2 shows how vampire Wonder Woman is strong enough to destroy the entire group of survivors and proves to them that outclassed villains overwhelm their path to victory. This issue highlights the necessity of Batman’s contingency plans for the Justice League by showcasing Wonder Woman’s ruthlessness against her former teammates. Alex Parnadel and Matthew Rosenberg’s comic is a nonstop action-packed issue that does not refrain from tearing at the readers’ heart strings by killing Jimmy Olsen. Wonder Woman makes a dramatic entrance by speeding past the heroes and sucking Jimmy’s blood. Before she can kill anyone else, Mary Marvel sends her back with a powerful punch, and Wonder Woman smirks, seeming to enjoy the challenge. Before the heroes can escape, Wonder Woman lunges at Constantine’s shield and says, “she’s going to pry him out of there and eat him like a frail oyster.”
Although Jimmy Olsen is a humble human, he has become a valuable team member after becoming only hero strong enough to break Superman’s bones.
The second installment in the DC vs. Vampires spin-off series displays Wonder Woman as the heroes’ most powerful villain yet due to her dark upgrade. As DC Comics continues to develop this bloodthirsty series, only time will tell whether the heroes will stop the Vampire King, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the infected.
