Magik, the X-Men's Deadliest Teleporter, Explained

Magik's Various Looks and Outfits Reflect Her Inner State

Magik was created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum.

Although Magik began as a background character in the pages of Uncanny X-Men, she has become a pillar of Marvel’s mutant community. Introduced alongside her brother in 1975’s Giant Size X-Men #1, Magik draws her powers from a variety of sources. Her mutant genes allow her to teleport through space and time via “teleportation discs.” Thanks to time spent in the dimension of Limbo, Magik became proficient in the mystical arts as well, which she uses to enhance her teleportation powers. This killer combination has made Magik a fan favorite, and a deadly fighter.

Magik will turn 50 in 2025, and befitting a character who has been around that long, she has sported a number of outfits and looks.
