Normally, players with enough stamina or stamina-restoring food can attempt to paraglide to the distant island, but there's a way to get there that will let players bring gear with them.
Since its launch, players have discovered tricks and glitches in Breath of the Wild to enhance or change gameplay, including this method for beating Eventide. To start Eventide with weapons, players have a few options. The method for getting weapons to the island will still strip Link of his gear, but anything players want to have on them can be temporarily dropped and picked up after the quest begins. However, this glitch will cause players to lose the dropped weapons and gear, so they should be cautious about what they bring.
Cheating Eventide's Challenge in Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Although BOTW's Eventide doesn't allow players to keep their gear, there are still ways to get weapons onto the island. The first method is to fly out to the rock that's just before Eventide Island. It's protruding from the water a little ways from the shore. From there, Link can use Cryonis blocks to get over to the island. On top of the last one, just before reaching the shore, players should drop any weapons and gear for Link to use during the challenge. These will not be returned to the player's inventory once this difficult shrine puzzle is completed.
There's another similar method for reaching the island that players can attempt. With plenty of stamina food, they should have Link fly straight to the island and land so he is standing in the water right before the shore. There is also a raft at the edge of the shore toward the left side that can be landed on. In either spot, players should follow the same method of dropping the items. This method is a little harder because, if Link gets too close to the island, the event will trigger automatically.
Once the weapons are dropped, players can start the event, losing everything in their inventory, then turn back and grab the dropped items. Link can now go about conquering Eventide Island with high-quality weapons and items. There are over 100 glitches for players to explore in BotW, including skipping the Great Plateau and this helpful Eventide Island glitch.
