Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Switch OLED edition. This time around, the new Zelda game will receive its own thematic console, which fans will be able to acquire even before the game’s release.

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch features golden-colored Joy-Cons with a few Zelda-like elements imprinted on them. The back part of the console also has a pattern, as does the dock station for charging and playing on the TV, which showcases the Hylian Crest. The product follows the game’s main aesthetic, from symbols and patterns to color palette.

Zelda: Tears Of the Kingdom’s OLED Switch's Release Date Is April 28, 2023

As mentioned previously, the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Nintendo Switch will be released on April 28, 2023, before the game itself. Meanwhile, the actual game arrives only on May 12. Nintendo also announced a themed Pro Controller and a Carrying Case for Tears of the Kingdom, both of which will be released along with the game on May 12.

What Comes With Zelda: Tears Of the Kingdom’s OLED Switch

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch edition comes with a thematic model of the console itself, a pair of themed Joy-Cons, special Joy-Con straps, a Joy-Con grip, the thematic Switch dock, and the necessary cables for making the dock work. As mentioned on Nintendo’s official website, the game is sold separately. This means that customers who want to play Tears of the Kingdom on the themed console will need to buy the title as well, as it is not included in the bundle. They will also have to wait since the game comes out a few days after the console reaches stores.

As is the case with the game, the themed Pro Controller and the Carrying Case are also sold separately and are not a part of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch kit. These products can be bought individually on Nintendo’s website or in official retailers once they are released.

There is bad news for players who want to preorder the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch. The console is available from most major retailers and is already up for preorder at Best Buy. On the official website, the product cannot be added to the cart and only its release window is featured on the button that customers would click on to buy it. Preorders will likely sell out quickly and may restock before actual relase.

Zelda: Tears Of the Kingdom’s OLED Switch Price

The official price for the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch has been revealed as $359.99. The special Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch OLED edition was also priced at $359.99 on Nintendo’s official website, so early predictions had it likely that the Tears of the Kingdom edition will cost the same, as they are both big games for the company.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s OLED Switch only exemplifies the game’s importance in Nintendo’s list of releases. The classic franchise’s new title will bring new mechanics into play, from the new and improved traversal across sky islands to a curious one that involves fusing objects to create new ones. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of 2023’s most anticipated games and it seems like it will not disappoint.
