12 Greatest Oscar-Winning Actor Performances Of All-Time
Enough with the posthumous sanctification of Heath Ledger's Joker. He shouldn't have even cracked this list. He played the part with all the nuance of a cartoonish caricature in need of a good nights sleep.

Theo's telling us he hasn't watched Raging Bull without telling us he's never watched Raging Bull.
The White Lotus Season 3 Was Missing One Scene That Would've Made The Ratliffs' Ending Perfect
Mike White left the Ratliff narrative as a cliffhanger, possibly for the next season. There are a a few holdover/recurring characters from season to season ("Greg" and Belinda, for example) and I won't be shocked in the least if we see Parker Posey at the White Lotus TBD in Season 4. It would be hilarious if we get to greet her (in E1 of S4) arrival with her new husband, on their honeymoon (perhaps Destination Wedding?). We will quickly learn that Tim was sentenced to a Bernie Madoff kind of prison term, and after facing the prospect of living a middle-class life a few stories below her Old South society gang, she will divorce Tim and remarry to a guy from the Country Club - I'm thunking some sorta portly widower who she was society friends with via his now dead wife.
Alas, we are treated to another season of sweet Parker Posey, poppin' Benzos and chasing the perfect gentle - yet faerrrm - body massage.

10 Best War Movies That Won Best Picture At The Oscars
You simply can't leave out The Best Years Of Our Lives - Best Picture winner, 1946 (19th Oscars).
This film captures a generation defined by WWII, as they come home to resume civilian life, and all of the nuanced emotion communities and families felt amid the jubilation and relief the war had ended in victory, and the wonder and uncertainty of what lay ahead.
Superbly Directed and an outstanding script. If this isn't a "war film", I don't know what is.
